Guy started the session with a look at the active ingredients which are at risk and spoke about the lobbying efforts of the NFU with the Healthy Harvest campaign with the recent push from the independent Andersons' report which looked at the economic impact of the loss of plant protection products.
Other speakers at the session included Craig Morgan, Head of Technical and R&D at Agrovista who spoke about practical solutions to the changes in pesticide usage and regulatory environment. Jonathan Black, Pricipal Research Scientist at ADAS also took the stage and spoke about managing to resist resistance.Rob Gladwin of BASF discussed the challenges of sustainable agriculture.
