Unfortunately, there are occasions when an employee’s conduct or performance is unacceptable and disciplinary action is considered appropriate. It is imperative that in doing so you follow a fair and reasonable process, as a failure to do so could ultimately give rise to a claim for unfair dismissal if the employee has at least 2 years of continuous service.
