If you haven’t seen the NFU’s Countryside Kitchen recipe book yet, visit the Countryside stand in Hall 3 at Conference to get your hands on a copy.
It also features stories about the lives of some of the farmers who produce the ingredients featured in the recipes, encouraging shoppers to think about where their food comes from and to back British farming.
NFU President Meurig Raymond said: “British farmers produce some of the most delicious and diverse food in the world, while adhering to Red Tractor standards to ensure the very best in traceability, environmental protection, food safety and hygiene and animal welfare standards.
“The NFU’s Countryside Kitchen recipe book helps people to reconnect with their food and gives them an insight into the lives of the people who work so hard to put food on our tables. By cooking with seasonal British produce, the public is supporting British farmers who are the backbone of our rural communities and stewards of our beautiful countryside.”
