1. Who is responsible for the personal information that we collect?
1.1 For the purpose of data protection law, the National Farmers Union is the data controller in respect of the personal information that is collected and used as part of our activities. The National Farmers Union also has several trading entities: NFU Services Limited, NFU Energy Limited, PWA Planning Limited, Acorus Rural Property Services Limited and Woolf Bond Planning Limited, and where those entities provide services to you, they will be a data controller. A data controller is the entity that determines the purpose for which your personal information is used and how it is used.
1.2 If you are providing personal information to us relating to a third party (for example relatives or dependents), you automatically confirm that you have the consent of the third party or are otherwise permitted to share such personal information with us and that you have made the information in this Privacy Notice available to the third party before providing his/her personal information to us.
