Andy Guy

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY ADVISER

Andy works part-time as the NFU county adviser for Nottinghamshire. In his spare time, he is an independent sustainable farm business consultant and a lecturer at an agricultural college.

Andy studied agricultural engineering at Harper Adams and worked in that sector for several years.

He began his farming career in 1996 when he was a new entrant on a Gloucestershire County Council dairy farm. His business expanded and quickly out-grew the farm so he relocated to a private FBT in Nottinghamshire. Andy was a LEAF Demonstration Farmer from 2004-2010 and was Farmers Weekly farmer of the year in 2005. An active member of the NFU, Andy was vice-chair of the NFU Dairy Board from 2007-2010.
