Outcomes from our most recent meeting with Waitrose include an agreement to work jointly with NFU Next Generation Forums and also on antibiotic resistance. Both of these will help ensure better quality and mutually beneficial supply chains in the future. The NFU also reiterated the importance of glyphosate within the production of many UK grown crops.
Furthermore, we asked Waitrose to look at how it can extend its offering of British lamb and suggested that this should include new products to aid carcass balance as well as extending the British lamb season to include key promotional dates.
