Vice-Chairman of the Livestock Board, Andy Foot,was elected Vice-Chairman of the COPA beef group on Monday.
At the meeting on Monday, as well as electing the Vice-Chairsand a new Chairman (Msr. Jean Pierre Fleury of France), the group discussed a wide range of issues thatwere taken to the Commission's Civil Dialogue Group on Tuesday.
Topics covered included the impact of Russian trade sanctions, the need for the Commission to press on with trade negotiations with third countries, BSE regulations and, labelling and pirce reporting.
