Farmers appointed to national Livestock Board

Five appointees have been selected to join the NFU’s national livestock board.

Somerset farmer James Small and Huw Davies from Wales have been re-appointed for a second term. They will be joined by Andrew Loftus, Mark Jelley and Will Ketley.

Andrew Loftus is from Ripon in North Yorkshire where he is a partner in the family farm. He is currently the Commercial Director of www.sellmylivestock.com and www.graindex.com and has previously worked for Wm Morrison Supermarkets.

Mark Jelley is a beef producer from Northamptonshire running 100 suckler cows. He also sits on the COWS (Control of Worms Sustainably) steering group and has recently joined the Veterinary Products Committee.

Will Ketley is a beef producer from Essex. He has an extensive farming business finishing cattle, along with arable, an AD plant and a solar farm. He has previously worked as an agricultural business consultant with Brown & Co.
