Our guest speaker, James Clark, is the Director of Communications & External Affairs at the NFU. He leads a directorate which incorporates press and media (including social media), campaigns, internal communications, external affairs (the lobbying and political stakeholder work in London) and education teams. The teams are responsible for guarding and increasing the NFU's reputation with the public and key stakeholders, and building support and consensus for the things we want to achieve for our members in media, parliament and across other key influential groups.
This would be a great opportunity to hear firsthand how the communications teams work to ensure that the right messages are given to the media and how the external affairs teams engage with MPs to ensure that they are given correct and factual information to support the lobbying work of the NFU.
If you have any questions or need to get in touch with your County Adviser at any time you can reach Dilwyn Harries on 07827 017848 or [email protected]
