A new NFU survey of 450 members shows there is widespread interest among farmers and growers in undertaking a greenhouse gas audit. NFU senior climate change adviser Dr Ceris Jones reports.

This interest is driven by farmers’ personal environmental values and curiosity more than contractual obligations and customer requirements.

This is no surprise because whenever I’ve talked to NFU members about GHG (greenhouse gas) footprinting, the two questions I most often get asked are ‘what can I do?’ and ‘where am I starting from?’.
