NFU leaders pledge to undertake mental health training

15 May 2024

NFU President Tom Bradshaw and NFU Director General Terry Jones have pledged to take the RABI charity mental health training, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week 2024.

The RABI mental health training aims to build greater resilience within the farming community by supporting people to have more open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

The courses cover:

  • Understanding common mental health conditions
  • Recognising signs and symptoms
  • How to support others to access the support they need
  • Looking after our own mental health

“We are both people who interact with farmers and we can see firsthand the impacts that mental health can have on those individuals.”

NFU Director General Terry Jones
