Vicky Hemming the Head of Food and Florence Cadge the Food Justice Programmes Co-ordinator at The Active Wellbeing Society are leading on the surplus food project. Both experienced in the world of surplus food redistribution and have backgrounds in business, catering and logistics.

The Active Wellbeing Society is a community benefit society and cooperative working to build healthy, happy communities living active and connected lives.

They are grounded in the communities where inequalities are at their highest, and we work with them to tackle inequality and promote community development.

They want to help create a kind, inclusive society where resources are shared according to need. They recognise we all need to play our part in improving community wellbeing, including working together to meet our own wellbeing needs- including the need for food, physical activity and mental health.
