NFU President Minette Batters pays tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh

The NFU President has offered her condolences to the Queen and the Royal Family following the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, at the age of 99.
On behalf of all the NFU’s members, Minette Batters praised his enthusiasm for British farming and thanked him for the support he has offered over many decades.
She said: “I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family, following the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
“He has been an enormous advocate of British farming and rural communities and the support he has given many generations of farmers will not be forgotten.”
