You’re talking and emphasising a lot on food security, the environment and diet, but what about the waste of the end product? In 2018, the UK produced 9.5 million tonnes of food waste - 6.6 million tonnes came from U.K. households - which not only contributes to an increased cost, but also millions of tonnes of green house gas emissions. How can we, as a country, tackle this issue in the future to not only reduce food waste and greenhouse gas emissions, but also to increase the availability of food without the need to grow more food?
