Asking a question – general information

  • Questions may be asked at the discretion of the chair during each session.
  • No guarantee can be given that individuals will be called in any particular order or called at all.
  • Delegates called to speak by the chair should proceed to the static microphones situated in the auditorium.
  • To ensure a diverse range of questions can be debated throughout the session, questions should be brief and to the point.
  • As a guide, the time for pre-registered questions is limited to two minutes and for spontaneous contributions one minute.
  • Prolonged questions/contributions may be interrupted by the chair.

Submit questions on paper

The preferred method for submitting questions is via the QR code on your conference badge.

However, delegates can also submit questions on paper and can collect a question form from the Conference registration area.

Please complete the form, including subject and line of argument and hand it in to the main registration area.

Please note that all question registration forms should be completed and handed to a member of NFU staff in the main registration area at least 60 minutes before the relevant session commences.

Asking an in-person question on the day

If you are attending Conference and would like to ask a question from the floor, please fill in this form.

If yes, you will be called to the mic during the Q&A section of the relevant section
