We want to hear your feedback on all versions of Defra’s SFI offers to date to help guide our conversations with Defra on what the future of the scheme should look like.

Following the closure of SFI24 applications on 11 March and the news that the government intends to review the SFI offer before being relaunched in the coming year, the NFU is keen to understand from members what they thought of the scheme that they have applied for or have an agreement in.

Your feedback can relate to SFI23 or SFI24 (expanded offer) – tell us what you liked, what worked well, what you found challenging or what didn't work for you on your farm via the questions below.

Your comments could be about the SFI actions, or the administration of the scheme, such as the application process. Please detail specific SFI action codes or SFI terminology where you can to help us understand your points.

An NFU task and finish group, spearheaded by NFU Deputy President David Exwood, will explore the detailed options that should be covered as part of the next SFI offer. Joining him on the group are two representatives from each national commodity board.
